Welcome to the Strumpshaw Steam Rally

Strumpshaw Steam Rally is held every year over the weekend of the Spring Bank Holiday and the lovely parkland is transformed into a yesteryear village which will have something for everyone in the family.

There are around 50 working Steam Engines, 60 working Miniature Steam Engines, all of which take part in parades in the grand ring, along with 100 tractors, vintage and classic cars and motorbikes. There are static displays of military vehicles, stationary engines, fire engines and vintage equipment and vehicles.

We have working demonstrations of stone crushing and wood sawing and the Tractor Pulling Display will be with us again this year. There are many outside trade stands and craft stalls and models in the museum, catering and a bar. The museum train 'Jimmy' will be chugging round the track all over the weekend. We also have heavy horse and working dog display.

There is a wonderful travelling fair which delights the old and young with their beautifully painted Gallopers, swing boats and much more.

Come to the Strumpshaw Steam Rally for a day out you will not forget, under 16s and car parking is free.
