Norfolk’s Premier Steam
Engine Rally held each
Spring Bank Holiday Weekend, the Strumpshaw Steam Rally celebrated
its 21st Anniversary in 2013.Held in the beautiful parkland grounds of Strumpshaw
Hall, between Norwich and Great Yarmouth, the site is also home to
the Strumpshaw Steam Museum. Open all weekend and included in your
admission, the museum contains a collection of traction engines and
vintage tractors collected over many years by the Key family, a
working beam engine and the magnificent Christie Concert Organ with
concerts held throughout the day.
The rally hosts over 50 traction engines and 350 other exhibits
including vintage tractors and heavy horses, vintage vehicles,
fair organs, working demonstrations of steam and tractors, and a
playpen for those who want to let off some steam and included a selection of trade stands and a craft tent with
other attractions for all the family including arena events, a
licensed bar and refreshments.
